LOCAL SCHOOL COUNCIL
The Local School Council (LSC) serves as a governing body at Haines School. LSC is an important vehicle for participatory democracy, providing a wide variety of stakeholders an opportunity to make important decisions about how students in their communities will be educated. Their primary responsibility is to approve the Continuous Improvement Work Plan, approve the school budget for the school year, engage in the annual evaluation of the contract principal's professional practices, and select or renew the principal contract. The LSC comprises parents, community, educational, and student members. Members are elected for a term of two years.
Meeting dates are held in person on the Second Thursday of each month at 8:00 AM in the Faculty Center at Haines School: 9/12/24, 10/10/24, 11/14/24, 1/9/25, 2/13/25, 3/13/25, 4/10/25, 5/22/25
